Layered Nacho Dip
Okay, so the green onions are the only ingredient you will get from the garden for this dip but it is one of those fun foods that we make and I want you to be able to enjoy it too!
1 250 g. pkg. cream cheese 1/2 - 1 cup chopped black olives
1/4 cup mayonnaise 7 bacon slices, fried crisp & crumbled
1 clove garlic, crushed 1 - 1 1/2 c. salsa
1 ripe avocado, finely chopped 3 - 4 canned jalapenos, chopped fine
1 tsp. lemon juice 1 large tomato, diced
6 green onions 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Combine together cream cheese, mayonnaise and garlic and spread in a shallow pan or a large pie plate. Over cream mixture, layer as follows:
- Diced avocado mixed with lemon juice
- Sliced green onions
- Sliced olives
- Crumbled bacon
- Salsa with jalapeno pepper slices
- Diced tomato
- Grated cheese
PS. This can be assembled in advance up to the bacon layer. Refrigerate dip, keeping the salsa/jalapeno mixture, diced tomato and grated cheese separate and add to the other layers prior to serving.
Serve with corn chips or crackers for scooping up the layers.
