the Work Schedule: Shared Farming is successful at Tipi Creek Farm because of each family's involvement. By coming out to the farm and participating in the growing of your vegetables you can observe first-hand how your food is grown and handled before it arrives at your table, that's completes the field to fork experience!

We ask that each share family help with three (3) weeding or picking opportunities.  You are welcome to sign up for more if you like, we always appreciate the extra help.

Since each share is for a family of 4 or 5 we will assume that each time your family signs up to help there will be at least 2 (two) working individuals. If only one person per share can help, we would like you to sign up for extra days to cover the minimum requirements.

The Weekly Picking Events (Tuesday night) can be fairly intense as we get a lot of work done in a short period of time. Those who come to help can bring home their share that same night.

The Weeding in the Garden (specific Saturday mornings) are a great balance of fun and work.

Harvest Day

Not sure how the season finale will unfold,  more details to follow...

NB Once you make a commitment to help on the farm, please mark them on your calendar! We are depending on your help on those scheduled days. If the number of people coming changes or if you cannot come at all, call and reschedule. Please give us enough notice that we can find someone to fill in for you.

Things to remember when you are coming out to work:

  1. Please dress appropriately, gardening clothes and gloves - you are going to get dirty!

  2. Prepare for the weather conditions such as heat, cold, sun, rain or mosquitoes.

  3. Bring drinking water!
