Ice Cream Pail Pickles
This recipe quick and easy pickle recipe results in a 'bread and butter' style pickle that doesn't require processing. Once complete they keep in the fridge for months.
3/4 of a pail of sliced cucumbers
3 sliced onions
2 cups apple cider vinegar
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. mustard seed
Mix brine ingredients together, stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over cucumbers and onions. Put in fridge. Stir each day for 5 days. Ready to eat on the 6th day; will keep in the fridge for 8 months.
